| ABSOLUT PRIDE. is an ad on page of the special commemorative World Series issue (11/1/00) of Sports Illustrated magazine, honoring the New York Yankees as the Y2K World Series champions of Major League Baseball, as well as baseball's Team of the Decade (1991-2000) and as the Team of the Century (1901-2000) for all sports. Celebrating what is known as Yankees Pride, this 1998 ad was re-printed after the Yankees won their 26th World Series and third in a row! It shows a series of vertical pinstripes from a Yankees uniform; two of the stripes bulge out slightly to form the cap of a bottle and, then, bulge out again to form the Absolut bottle shape. |
