 Pierre et Gilles are French artists who have collaborated on artistic work for a quarter of a century.  An exhibit of their work completed a run at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City (9/15/00-1/21/01) and is now at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco (2/10-5/6/01).  Their work has set a new standard when it comes to their combination of photography and painting; it show an uncommon vision of the contemporary world through topics related to religion, sexuality, mythology, personalities, and their own lives.
