Absolut Citron. Butterflies |

Like moths attracted to a bright yellow light, beautiful orange, yellow and brown butterflies flock to (and land on) a bottle of Absolut Citron, the bright light in the vodka world, the beacon that attracts the beautiful people around the world. That's the premise of ABSOLUT CITRON butterflies), a new 1998 ad photographed by Steve Bronstein and presented on the back cover of the 8-9/98 issue of Metropolis magazine. This is the latest edition in the series of Absolut Citron ads that includes: the lemon slice with tiny Absolut bottles for seeds, and a yellow spotlight against a green background (1993); the lemon slice with tiny Absolut bottles for seeds, and a gray spotlight against a black background (1995); the lava lamp (1996); and the taxicabs (1997). The bottle, shown on a shiny flat surface in a white spotlight against a black background, is entirely covered by butterflies and more are flying towards it. |
